I recently had a fabulous question about writing a book: “How do you determine what’s in your head that is of value to someone else?”

Here’s my answer. Because there are two questions in one, it’s in two steps.

  1. How do you determine who will value your content?
Write your book for readers who have demonstrated they value your expertise in the past. For example, clients who you have loved working with and who love working with you. Don’t write your book for the hard to convert, the resistant, and the I’m-too-lazy-to-do-what-you-suggest.

  2. How do you determine the bits of your knowledge they will value most?
Be crystal clear about the problems you can solve for them, and how you get them from where they are (problem) to where they want to be (success).

🤔 Do you agree?

I’m curious to know.
